Development Of Tourist Facilities

To improve the visitor experience, appropriate infrastructure will be developed throughout Sikkim to provide interpretation and information on areas of tourism interest, directions, and comfort facilities. Most facilities will employ local communities and will provide outlets to sell local products.

Interpretation centers, orientation centers, museums in traditional houses, and public conveniences will be constructed during the project period. The impact of this subcomponent will be improvements in Sikkim?s tourism infrastructure and income generation opportunities for local communities.
